Growing up during the depression, Naomi Paulson’s earliest memories are of living during wartime and experiencing multiple moves. At 9, she moved from New Jersey, where she loved the outdoors and had the freedom to roam, to New York. Always one to make the best of every situation, Naomi became a nurse after high school and found her way to a career in public health. Compassionate, caring, and resourceful, she managed long days working both in schools and doing home visits. Later, with her husband and children, she continued making a difference.

“You only get 1 chance. This body of ours is such a valuable asset. Get up and move.” – Naomi Paulson

The love of gardening and outdoor activities never left her. She was athletic and found it important to move. The terrarium her father brought her as a child, embarked her on a life long love for parks conservancy.
