Dear President-Elect ____: As engaged citizens of the United States, this is what we want you to know about women over 70.

Dec. 17th

Join Catherine and Gail in crafting key points that might be used in a letter to the new president, in Op-Ed pieces, and in a variety of organizational publications. Come share your ideas about content and venues. We welcome your writing talents in communicating these messages into the future.
Symposium participants identified a variety of issues, such as: access to affordable and quality care across the lifecycle (emphasis on health);  reinstatement of women’s reproductive rights; standardizing voting rules across all states; dismantling the electoral college; and including ageism in DEI. “Each of us is unique and our rich reservoir of wisdom, knowledge, and know-how is truly a national treasure.”

Discover Your Pathways through Photography

Jan. 21st

[11:00][12:00]CT

We all walk many paths as we age. Join us as we start the new year in a pensive, meditative mode inspired by the photography of Barbara Adler. Her book, Pathways, is filled with photographs of nature and the world around her, reflecting her pathways. Barbara will share slides from the book and engage us in meaningful conversation as we discuss the photographs and our own journeys.

Barbara Adler’s first career in higher education administration spanned 20 years. Relocating to Florida allowed her to change direction. For the next 20 years she was a corporate career consultant and, also, had her own consulting practice. Her work enabled people to see the potential in themselves, and in the world around them, to take positive action and move forward with their lives. This has been the fundamental principle underlying her work.

After retiring, she began applying the fundamental principle to herself. Barbara always enjoyed taking pictures and now  focuses on developing her skills in photography. Barbara has published two books: Passages and Pathways. A solo ager, she lives in Tarpon Springs, Florida across the bay from Tampa.
